Booking Policy

HEALTH & WELL-BEING DISCLOSURE

Your wellbeing is my priority, and I want you to feel safe and supported in all sessions. Please let me know before your session if you have any injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, recent surgery, or anything else that may affect your massage or integrative health session. Sessions can often be adapted to suit your needs. My services are not a substitute for medical care, and where appropriate I encourage you to seek advice from your GP or other medical professional before booking.

BOOKING, RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATION POLICY

Massage and Online Health Consultations

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
  • You are welcome to reschedule or cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before your session using the link in your confirmation email.
  • If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, or miss your appointment, the session fee will usually be retained, as that time has been reserved for you and is unlikely to be rebooked at short notice.
  • If you need to make a change because of exceptional circumstances, please do get in touch and I will always do my best to respond fairly and compassionately.
  • A confirmation email is sent after booking, and a reminder email is sent before your session. Please check your appointment details carefully, save my email address, and check your spam or junk folder if needed. If you notice an error in your booking, please amend it before the 24-hour cut-off.
  • Your statutory rights are not affected.

Soma Rising Retreats/ Retreat Holidays

  • A deposit of £200 is required to secure your place on the retreat.

Cancellation Policy

  • If you cancel more than 90 days before the retreat start date, any payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded, less a £50 administration fee and any unrecoverable costs already paid to suppliers on your behalf.
  • If you cancel 90 days or less before the retreat start date, some or all monies paid may be retained, and any outstanding balance may still be payable, to the extent necessary to cover losses and unrecoverable supplier costs arising from your cancellation. If your place can be filled, I will always aim to reduce losses where reasonably possible.

General Retreat Terms

  • We are a small business, and while we understand that cancellations can be deeply disappointing, these terms are needed because accommodation, venue, and supplier costs are often committed in advance. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance at the time of booking and ensure you have a valid passport and any other required travel documents.
  • If Sara Smyth Wellbeing / Soma Rising Retreats cancels a retreat, all monies paid to us for the retreat will be refunded. However, we cannot be responsible for third-party costs not booked directly with us, such as flights, transport, accommodation outside the retreat, insurance premiums, or other personal expenses.
  • If the named teacher is unexpectedly unable to attend, we reserve the right to provide a suitably qualified substitute teacher or make another reasonable change to the programme.
  • If the retreat is affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, government action, travel disruption, illness outbreak, or venue closure, we will communicate with you as soon as possible and set out the options reasonably available at that time, which may include transfer, credit, partial refund, or refund of sums recovered from suppliers. Please ensure your insurance covers these risks.
  • Your statutory rights are not affected.

By booking an appointment, retreat, or event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
